Idk if i spelled that right. it is a saying...Home sweet home i guess haha. This week was crazy but a good one.
1-We flew out to Oslo for training and that was so fun. It was awesome to see all of my batch mates. I missed them so much haha. It was nice to be around people who understand how I feel right now and to also be around other missionaries..here in haugesund you feel like you are the only two missionaries in the whole world. but it was fun to see Søster and Elder Robinson (they say hello), and President and Søster Hill. I learned a lot. What i learned most was that I need to be praying for charity every single prayer...It takes some love to get from where we are to where we need to be.
2- Eldste Braunberger- i just met him, but he is apparently really successful in the music world for making electro music or something. He promised to make me some beats after our missions for me to rap to haha. I cannot wait.
3- Wednesday night after training we RAN to the train to get to the airport with our luggage. We barely made the train, RAN to the airport, tried to check in, and the APs scheduled our flight for the next day on accident. lol. so we got to go back to Oslo and stay another day. So we stayed at the Søsters apartment and then went out thursday and contacted..where we found a new investigator for them. they are lucky. but we got to contact on Carl Johannes which is a way famous street in Norway. We ate ice cream cones and just had fun talking to people. We met these two hippies who were way cool. One of them was the most beautiful human we have ever seen. We thought he was a 3 nephite testing us or something haha...hopefully he was not because we would have failed. but that is okay. we also got to visit the palace. cool.
4- We got picked up from the airport by our branch mom, and she brought us McDonalds. YUM. That was fun to eat that. The sweet potatoe fries are amazing. 100% recommend them.
5-We were walking to the elders old apartment in haugesund to check their mail and it was raining (of course). We got inside and i felt a rain drop falling down my arm from my neck to my hand. It felt so cool I was like in heaven. but. it was not a raindrop haha. I heard my companion scream, looked down, and THERE WAS A HUGE SPIDER ON MY HAND!!! WHAT. ew i have goosebumps just thinking about it.
6- at MMK we were talking with jens and sarah and then a man walked past the church window, held up a passalong card, and we let him in. that was fun. he was philipino so he hung with the majority of our branch while we played ping pong. it was cool. we have not seen him since though.
7- I was so sick on friday it was unreal. We skyped into distrikt meeting and everyone could tell i was sickhaha. Søster Gormley even called me and told me to take a nap. So i did. YES.
That is pretty much all that happened worth writing. Norway is cool. I enjoy it pretty well. This week was the first week that I really could honestly say that I loved my mission. Loving it for 18 more months (always say 18 more months) is still a little daunting. But loving it today is easy. And loving it tomorrow is easy. anything more than that is hard. but that is okay because I do not need to love it for wednesday yet. That love will come as it approaches. What made this sudden change in my heart? I was in an interview with president and told him about my problem about time and he looked at me and said, "How are you going to be a doctor?" HAHA guess who got fired and determined to show him that I can be a great missionary who loves every minute? me lolol.
PSA: My burn is fine. It was on my left pointer finger up my knuckle. It should be cool though. no need to worry. i just touched the rod in the oven that is hot but it looks like it keeps getting better.
A day in the life: wake up 6:30, work out, eat study and study and study and plan, eat lunch. Leave apt. around 12:30 and knock doors or walk on the street for a few hours-try and split the hours up with a member visit, less-active visit, or lesson. Eat dinner. Go back out and knock doors or walk streets. Go home at 8:30, study some more. Get ready for bed. Sleep at 10:30. What a dream life hahahahahaha. Luckily we get to clean an older couples apartment once a week, and get to sing to a couple once a week, and get to go to sport once a week, and get church once a week, and pday. So yeah. But when you think about it it is pretty repetive. lol.
Food: we eat a lot of fish. a lot of bread. a lot of meat. a lot of pizza. Idk the food is the same here as in the US i feel like. Just more fish and more potatoes.
Cool.
That is all.
have a good week.
